Gynecology

Gynaecology is a medical term which stands for the practice which deals with the health of the female reproductive system (vagina, uterus, and ovaries). Various subdivisions of the field are oncology, maternal medicine and maternal-fetal medicine. Gynaecology sparks research interests in a wide variety of subtopics primarily because even to this day little is known about women’s health peculiarly during gestation. This is also why Gynaecology and Obstetrics are regarded as unique study areas posing several challenges for researchers. Patients suffer from several gynaecological conditions like menstrual disorders, pap smear abnormalities, menopausal conditions, pelvic floor disorders and infertility among a host of others. At Royal Research we are dedicated to advance the knowledge and clinical care in Gynaecology to improve reproductive lives of women. We aim to improve women’s health holistically by integrating multidisciplinary research and subsequent implementation in basic, translational and clinical sciences.
